Abstract The Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids was a nonprofit arts group in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Arts Council promoted the arts in Grand Rapids and supported local arts organizations through fundraising, grants, workshops and other services. Abstract St. Cecilia Music Center (formerly known as St. Cecilia Society) is a non-profit organization that advances the appreciation of music in Grand Rapids, Michigan. St. Cecilia was formed in 1883 and is considered the 'mother of the arts' in Grand Rapids. Abstract

The Grand Rapids Press Arts and Entertainment Index scrapbooks include arts related newspaper clippings for the years 1973-1992. The clippings are primarily from the Grand Rapids Press, with some from other local and national publications. This collection was a GRHSC department project that was arranged and completed by a volunteer, Marilyn Titche.
