New Hope Baptist Church records
The New Hope Baptist Church was founded in Grand Rapids, Mich. in 1934 and today is a large and popular church with over 800 members. The Church leadership and congregation is primarily African American. The New Hope Baptist Church is very involved in the Grand Rapids, Mich. community and offer a wide range of community outreach services. The pastor of the Church as of this writing is Rev. Howard Earle Jr.

The Norma L. Gillette collection contains newspaper clippings and photographs, circa 1946-1949, of the Grand Rapids Chicks, a team in the All American Girl Professional Baseball League. Included are details of games, particularly those during which extraordinary skill or performance were demonstrated. Also included are photographs of individual Chicks in formal posed shots and snap shots on South Field in Grand Rapids.

Old Third Michigan Association collection
The Old Third Michigan Association was a veteran's reunion group for the Third Michigan Infantry, which served in the Civil War. This collection contains original documents relating to the association and their annual reunions, including minutes, constitutions, a treasurer's book and correspondence. Also included in the collection are a regimental roster, a few photographs of men who served and reference materials compiled for the study of the Old Third Michigan Association.
On the Town photographs
On the Town is a free publication highlighting arts and entertainment in the Greater Grand Rapids area. It began in 1982 as Downtown magazine, changed its name in 1984 to On the Town, and is now part of the MLive Media Group. Donated by Joanne N. Bailey, former editor of On the Town magazine, this collection of negatives and contact sheets were produced in the 1980s for On the Town.
