Scope and Contents

From the Series:

Beginning with v. 1, no. 1, Nov. 1934 as the Peninsular Club News, a sometimes irregular monthly publication was established for the Club, which grew into the Peninsular Club Magazine valued by many during its time, and by researchers today.

Found in the Dec. 2008 gift of holdings from the Club, after the sale of their building, is a mock up issues of the “Peninsular Club News” dated March 1924. Whether this was an early plan for a publication which didn't develop until 1934, or a reminiscences issues, which may never have been published, it stands on its own as a publication design artifact, associated with this series.

Change title to the Peninsular Club Magazine with v. 16, no. 6, June 1948. Changed frequency to quarterly with 1967 (Winter/Spring/Roster/Fall), and suspended us of volume & issue numbers. Ceased publication with the Fall 1971 issue, per the title page, to be continued by the Peninsular Club Newsletter.
