Overview This is an incomplete census of school children in Grand Rapids conducted by enumerators from the Grand Rapids Board of Education. The information was collected systematically, going street by street through the different school districts and city wards. Each record contains the home address, the name of the parent or legal guardian, the child's name, gender, age, the school they attend, and supplementary remarks.

Rogers family papers

Overview Charles (1909-1998) and Eniz (c. 1911-1986) Rogers lived in the Buchanan Elementary school neighborhood in Grand Rapids, Mich. and were active in local civic affairs. This collection contains papers and newspaper clippings kept by them during the 1950s-1960s. Eniz and Charles were both active in the PTA at Buchanan school.
