Abstract This devised collection contains oral histories of Grand Rapids, Michigan Hispanic immigrants, coming from a variety of Spanish speaking countries. The interviews were conducted by various individuals, through several different forums. Several of the interviews were conducted by college students of Calvin College or Aquinas College, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Audio tapes and some form of transcriptions are available in most cases. Scope and Contents From the Series: This series is divided into the following sub-series: correspondence, papers and pamphlets. The majority of the material in this series is papers on subjects that pertain to Johnson and the City Commission. The papers are arranged alphabetically from Affirmative Action Plan to Zainea (City Manager). These papers contain background information on particular subjects or projects that Johnson was involved with during his years as commissioner of the first ward of Grand Rapids....
