Abstract The Mary Free Bed Guild operates Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The guild started in 1891 as a group of women that worked to provide free hospital care for the needy. The effort was formalized as the Mary Free Bed Guild in 1911.
