Abstract Phillip T. Catalano was chairman of a committee of the Grand Rapids Transportation Club that oversaw shipping Alexander Calder's sculpture, La Grande Vitesse. This collection provides information on the process of moving the crates to Grand Rapids from the delivery point at the Detroit Harbor. The crates were shipped from Biemont Foundry in Tours, France via Antwerp on the Dutch ship, the Bonita.
