Abstract
The Francis Hall collection contains lists of graves of veterans of United States wars in various Michigan cemeteries, 1754-1939. These lists are arranged alphabetically by county, then chronologically beginning with the Revolutionary War through World War I. Abstract
This collection is made up primarily of the personal papers and photographs of Sara Kinglsey Smith (1872-1963), daughter of former Grand Rapids Mayor, Henry S. Smith, and Isaac Platt Powell (1838-1903) spanning the years from 1884-1935. Issac Powell married Helen Griffith Smith, Henry Smith's second wife and stepmother of Sarah Smith, in 1890 following Henry's death. The Western Michigan Genealogical Society church records collection is the result of a project conducted by the WMGS to borrow and microfilm historical files from churches throughout the Western Michigan community.
