Rix Robinson collection
Rix Robinson (1792-1875) was a pioneer and fur trader and is said to be the first White settler to permanently live in the greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area. This is a devised collection of accessions related to Robinson. Included are original documents, such as a family bible, property deeds and letters. Also included is research material frmo an archaeological dig of Robinson's trading post on the Grand River in what is today Ada, Michigan.

This collection includes one scrapbook, containing information on Grand Rapids, Michigan area magicians and the Robert E. Haynes family. Included are newspaper clippings, photographs, ephemera and the constitution and by-laws of the Grand Rapids Magician's Club. Other items include a notebook of tricks and gigs, 1928-1937, oversize playing cards and notes and diagrams on magic tricks.

The Robert W. Irwin Company was a furniture company in Grand Rapids (Mich.) from 1919-1953. The Robert W. Irwin Company resulted from the merger of the Phoenix Furniture Company, founded in 1870, and the Royal Furniture Company, organized in 1892. Records include journal and cash ledgers and newspaper clippings.
