Abstract
The Hake family photograph collection is a small collection of fourteen photographs documenting the family of early Grand Rapids, Michigan entrepreneur and German immigrant, William Hake, and his family with Anna Schittler Hake. Most notably the photographs commemorate the wedding of their son, Louis Hake, to Mary Magdalen (“Mamie”) Beurger and the celebration of William and Anna’s fiftieth wedding anniversary. The collection may be of interest to researchers studying early residents of Grand Rapids or the genealogy of the Hake family.
