Previous to 2003, national furniture trade literature was not part of the collecting scope of the GRPL Archives. With the Furniture Trade Book Collection's move to the department, now called Grand Rapids History & Special Collections Center, national ephemeral literature which had not been previously processed and was problematic for traditional cataloging and book shelving, came to the Archives.
