One set of invitation cards uses a design by graphic artist Stephen Frykhom (Herman Miller), which he created for a poster promoting VanderVeen's 1974 campaign. Other documents, including a few letters, a newsletter “On the Record”, and brief reports, tell of his work while in Washington. Some items document his work back in his constituency. Later ephemera mark his runs for other officies.
