Included are copy photographs that gathered for the book, either new to the GRPL archival collections or copied from existing GRPL collections. It is believed that some items may already have been removed, and may have migrated to other collections, due to the lack of a working inventory, and processing documentation on the actual photo. Many of the photos used in the book are missing from the photographs included in this collection.

The paper files included as part of this collection are low priority for use, and have not yet been processed.

An unfortunate issue with this collection is that many of the clippings, photocopies and data sources are not fully identified, and often the original source of the image or data is not noted. This means that the item is useful in the context of the current collection, but any additional information found in the original source is lost to the user, unless documented in the Grand Rapids Sampler publication itself. Also, there may be issues of copyright, for which the original sources needs to be known.
