Personal Correspondence - John Widdicomb (October 27, 1902 to June 4, 1910) consists of incoming and outgoing letters pertaining to John Widdicomb, and the company. As well, there is a folder of sympathy letters from companies and friends of the family on the death of John. Most valuable are letters pertaining to the State of Michigan Supreme Court case of Peter W. Decker vs. John Widdicomb, letters regarding renting of cottages, letters regarding payments, letters pertaining to his involvement in the Republican party, letters pertaining to his appointment to the Board of Public Works of Grand Rapids, and letters pertaining to his protest of the Hepburn Bill. Incoming and outgoing letters include those-with Kappen, Kleinhans & Knappen, Pere Marquette Railroad Co., R. J. Horner & Co., Holson Motor Patents Co., 0. B. Starkwather & Co., Harrison Wagon Co., Charlotte, Michigan Republican, and the Michigan Trust Company.
