Contains primarily sketches of dogs by Collins, and photos and prints of dogs used by Collins in his works. Also contains miscellaneous items given to Collins by other illustrators, childhood report cards, etc. No arrangement.

Also added here is Theresa VanderLaan Collins oral history of herself, her family and her husband, Kreigh Collins, taken in Dec. 11, 2003, Feb. 21, 2004, and Mar. 7, 2004 by Barbara Robinson. 2004.094, and added to the collection 1/20/2005

The Public Museum of Grand Rapids also hold 63 works by Collins, including: portraits, landscapes, drawings, and miscellaneous works in various mediums.
