Scope and Contents
This collection was created in 1999 to house the fragments and small accessions within the archives that relate to the furniture industry in Grand Rapids. Information on non-Grand Rapids furniture companies is not actively collected, though some national material can be found in Collection #335, Furniture Design Archival Collection, National Literature. The other complimentary collection with a national focus is the Furniture Design Book Collection, which is housed in its own room within the Grand Rapids History & Special Collections department.

General
The first section includes trade images (line drawings),with images of a corresponding actual items of furniture, for the Jacques Grange Collection, John Widdicomb Co. The binder contains a lot of color photos, but there appear to be mostly copy work from a printed source, though a few show the item in a real time setting. A few 35 mm negative are also found in the notebook. Other material includes color laser copies, items cut from trade literature, other trade literature formats, adapted for the notebook. The creator of the notebook is unknown, and only a few items include written descriptions or source clues.
