Horses & wagons with riders are seen in the street, as well as various onlookers. Stores on Monroe behind the group include Vossens Dry Goods Store, The Boston Store, Trankla Jamieson & Co. The street appears to be cobbled stone, with a manhole at the bottom center in this image. Ca. 1890s.
