Scope and Contents
1. Verso note: Bissell Carpet Sweeper Co. on Mill St. & the river north of present site of Civic Auditorium. F. Wood, 1930’s. [Original at Public Museum?] Images shows several generations of businesses, autos parked in the snow, and a street lamp left. “Bissell’s” is at the top of one factory building.
2. Camera Shops Photo. Verso: Old employees at Bissell factory. These men have been in the continuous employ of this factory from 30 to 42 years each. Mr. Weevil. Image shows four men standing in a row with the hands crossed over their chests, with a building behind, steps at lower right.

4. Verso stamp: Return to Traffic Eng. Dept. Hand written, Nov. 6, 1959. Bissell. Image shows the smoke stack being felled, with a water tank atop a partially demolished factory building at right. A “Yield” sign is center front, and a “DO NOT ENTER” sign is near the base of the stack. The river appears to be behind the scene.
